Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Seward. Depart on the 11:30 am day cruise to Kenai Fjords National Park with Kenai Fjords Tours. This 6 hours cruise will take you to the face of the glacier with lots of wildlife viewing opportunities - whales, harbor seals, sea lions, otters, bears, mountain goats, puffins, and more! Travel by train to Anchorage aboard the Coastal Classic train, the most scenic stretch of the Alaska Railroad route, 6 pm - 10:15 pm. Overnight at Comfort Inn.
Day 2: Denali Star Train, Anchorage to Talkeetna, 8:15 am - 11:05 am.
Mahay's Wilderness Jetboat Adventure, noon - 2pm. For a little extra, opt for an afternoon flight seeing tour to Mt. McKinley. Visit downtown Talkeetna and enjoy first class accommodations at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Step off the train for a 1.3 mile guided walk with a ranger in the Placer River Valley with fabulous views of the glacier. Spend 3 hours exploring the area before you catch the train back to Portage where you will transfer to a motorcoach for the trip to Anchorage. Arrive Anchorage at 6:45 pm. Overnight at Comfort Inn.
