2009 World Championship Ice Art Competition

Fairbanks, Alaska, Feb. 24 - Mar. 22, 2009 finished sculptures: Mar. 7 - 23, 2009

Saturday Board the Aurora Winter Train in Anchorage at 8:30 am for a sublime and scenic trip through interior Alaska. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Sunday spend the day visiting the 18th annual World Ice Art championships. Fairbanks hosts the world's largest ice art competition and exhibition with over 70 teams from all over the world.

The competitions and the kids' park attract more than 100 ice artists and approximately 45,000 visitors from Alaska and all over the world. Get ready for art like you've never seen it before.

Ride the train from Anchorage to Fairbanks and return on Alaska Airlines or fly to Fairbanks and return via the Aurora Winter Train, Fairbanks to Anchorage. You can also opt to add additional night stays in Fairbanks.

Tour Price: $369 Adults, $235 Child (2-11), $339 Alaska Residents and Seniors. Prices are per person, based on double occupancy.
Inclusions:
One-way rail transportation Anchorage to Fairbanks or the reverse, one night accommodations in Fairbanks, 2 tickets to the World Ice Art Championships, all transfers and return flight aboard Alaska Airlines. Price subject to change based on airfare availability.
