Nowhere else in the world can you: ride a train, sea kayak, hike and explore a glacier all in one day. Begin the day aboard the Glacier Discovery Train as you ride the rail to the Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop – a backcountry area only accessible by train. Here’s you’ll disembark and make your way to the edge of Spencer Lake and an incredible view of Spencer Glacier. Paddle amid blue icebergs as you cross the lake by sea kayak while stopping to take pictures along the way toward Spencer Glacier. On the far side of the lake, explore along the shoreline and hike on and off-trails towards Spencer Glacier to see the massive face of the glacier nearby. 

Wear rain gear, fleece jacket and hiking boots. No cotton attire.

This 12.5-hour day trip includes:

• Round-trip rail from Anchorage or Girdwood to Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop
• Professional kayak and hiking guide
