The Fair Train returns to the Alaska State Fair Grounds in 2024

Take the Fair Train to the Alaska State Fair and save on fuel, parking and headaches. Avoid traffic jams and enjoy a scenic and relaxing ride aboard one of our comfortable coaches.

Friday, August 30, 2024 through Sunday, September 1, 2024 there will be two round trips offered per day between the Anchorage depot, located at 411 West 1st Avenue, and the Alaska State Fair train depot, located next to the Green Gate. 

The Fair Train will depart Anchorage at 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Return trips will depart the Fair at 6:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. 

Each one-way trip is approximately 90 minutes.   

Tickets for the Fair train go on sale August 1 at alaskarailroad.com. 

Fares are $29 for adults, $19 for children (ages 2-11), and free for a child in lap (under 2). 

Parking is available at the Diamond Parking Lot across from the Alaska Railroad Anchorage depot at 412 W 1st Ave. Fair admission is additional.
